摘要
In the present work the scattering of thermoelastic waves by a penetrable two-layered object is studied. The thermoelastic scattering problem is mathematically formulated. Uniqueness of solution is obtained with the usage of Rellich's Lemma and the radiation conditions introduced by Kupradze. Usage of single- and double- layer thermoelastic potentials transforms the scattering problem into a system of integral equations. Existence of solution is proved via the Riesz-Fredholm theory.
