摘要：
Automotive industry uses real-time digital radiography for inspection on the assembly line. We have described a new measure, mutual information, which can improve image registration used in automated defect recognition systems used in the inspection. We have compared this metric with the more conventional registration technique that uses the Fourier-Mellin transform.
