摘要
This paper describes development of a hardware simulator for the PMSG wind power system, using a motor-generator set with vector drive, a back-to-back converter with DSP controller, and a software turbine simulator. The turbine simulator generates torque and speed signals of a specific wind turbine with respect to the given wind speed. This torque and speed signals are scaled down to fit the input rating of the hardware simulator, and then sent to the vector drive of induction motor to generate the required torque for the PMSG. The generator-side convener operates to track the maximum power point, while the grid-side inverter controls the active and reactive power supplied to the grid. The operational feasibility was verified through computer simulations. Based on these simulation results, a hardware simulator was built and tested in the lab for the real-time simulation of PMSG windpower system.
