Detection of seizures in newborns using time-frequency analysis of EEG signals

摘要
This paper presents a time-frequency approach for electroen-cephalographic (EEG) seizure detection. The proposed method uses the high-resolution reduced interference B time-frequency distribution. An in-depth analysis of the seizure detection techniques of Gotman (frequency domain) and Liu (time domain) has been performed in order to compare with the detection criteria used in the time-frequency domain. Both synthetic and real neonatal EEG signals have been used for testing.
