摘要
In this paper, the flexibility of Kaiser function utilized on power weighted linear antenna array is presented. Some linear antenna arrays working at the X-band frequency with odd and even number of radiator elements are applied to implement the weighting coefficient based on Kaiser function. The involvement of Kaiser function is expected to give other useful preference in the design of antenna array. The Kaiser function utilization on power weighted linear antenna array shows a flexibility in terms of width of mainlobe (WML) and sidelobe level (SLL). For constant array elements number and inter element spacing, the Kaiser function could improve the WML and SLL of linear array antennas by varying beta. In addition, Chebyshev function is also employed in the analysis of performance as comparison.
