摘要：

In April 2015, six samples were taken from the coal gangue dump of Taoer Coal Mine. The harmful heavy metals were analyzed to estimate their pollution on the environment by X-ray fluorescence (XRF). Single pollution index and the integrated pollution indices methods were used to evaluate the pollution level of the harmful heavy metals on the environment. The contents of the harmful heavy metals are obviously lower than "Soil environmental quality standards (GB15612-1995)" level II, which indicates that it is harmless to the environment. The result of the evaluation shows that contamination is safety and pollution level is cleaning.
