摘要
The formation of inorganic encrustations is often observed in industrial water systems, piping or in the equipment. High salinity in solutions at high temperatures and pressures lead to hard mineral scaling even in Cases where not classical scale formers bill rather the product (here NaCl) is incrustation forming. These scales reduce the efficiency of the equipment. Generally, water treatments will be used to remove such scales. The long soaking time required is causing down lime of the equipment. The aim of the work is to modify, water treatments through the utilization of additives. The use of scale inhibitors should accelerate the dissolution and reduce the encrustation rate. To study the scale formation sodium chloride is used as a model compound Results of growth rates experiements show that the inhibition of growth depends oil the concentration of the additive as well as on the composition in solution. Besides the reduction of crystal growth rates a modification of crystal morphology, is observed Throughout the discussion special focus is be paid on underlying solution chemistry.
