摘要
Comparisons are made between the output of a snow metamorphism model and the snow cover characteristics that can be derived from Landsat Thematic Mapper images over the French Alps. The lower limit of the snow cover, the surface grain size and the surface temperature are compared for different ranges, elevations, slopes and azimuth. The lower limit of the snow cover and the snow grain sizes computed by the model or derived from satellite data are similar but large difference are found for the surface temperature.
