DRIVING CHARACTERISTICS OF PHOTOVOLTAIC-PIEZOELECTRIC HYBRID ACTUATOR BASED ON PLZT/PVDF

摘要
In order to reduce electromagnetic interference and improve the response speed of the actuation, a photovoltaic-piezoelectric hybrid actuator based on PLZT ceramic and PVDF film laminated fixed-fixed beam was proposed, and the driving characteristics of the actuator were studied. On the basis of the theory of photovoltage generated by PLZT ceramic, the mathematical model of driving displacement is established. Combined with ANSYS software, the finite element simulations under constant photovoltage and time-varying photovoltage were carried out. Comparing the mathematical model and the finite element simulation results, the relative error between theoretical value and simulated value of the driving displacement under constant light intensity is 0.6%. The result shows that the maximum driving displacement of the actuator is at the midpoint of fixed-fixed beam in longitudinal direction, and it increases rapidly within a short time after the PLZT ceramic exposed to the high-energy light, and then tends to be stable.
