Sensitization of infrared luminescence of neodymium and ytterbium ions in binuclear complexes with 4-tert-butylcalix[8]arene

摘要
Lanthanides were found to form both homo- and heterobinuclear complexes with 4-tert-butylcalix[8]arene. Absorption spectroscopy evidence shows that the binuclear complexes form through the stage of the formation of the mononuclear complexes. For solutions of the lanthanide heterobinuclear complexes based on 4-tert-butylcalix[8]arene, the sensitization of 4f-luminescence of Nd(III) ions, in the presence of Sm(III), Eu(In), and Tb(III) ions, and of Yb(III) ions, in the presence of Nd(III) and Sm(III) ions, was found for the first time.
