Tensor magnetostriction and magnetization hysteresis loops for a 25 mm ferrite magnet cube were measured. The magnetization is interpreted in terms of magnetization vector rotation processes and is described using a Stoner-Wohlfarth model. The reversible and irreversible components have been extracted for both the magnetostriction and magnetization tensors. The results were helpful in determining the correlation between magnetostriction and magnetization which both reflect the magnetization properties. Additional information about the relative magnetic easy-axis location has been derived from the tensor magnetostriction loop and is consistent with that determined from the tensor magnetic hysteresis loops.
