摘要
A new analytical theoretical model of erbium-doped fibre amplifiers is presented. This model is obtained substituting the influence of amplified spontaneous emission on the energy-states populations by the effect of a fictitious equivalent signal power, although this equivalent power does not appear in the final equations. The values obtained for the output powers of the fibre art: sufficiently accurate. Moreover, the necessary computation time is strongly reduced. (C) 2000 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
