摘要
POSCO is producing a total of 30 million tons of sinter per year at nine sinter plants, five at Pohang and four at Kwangyang. The performance of sinter plants has been improved gradually, despite adverse factors such as poor quality of ores and fuels, reduced addition of flux materials, and rigid regulations for pollutant emissions. Sinter productivity has increased while the content of slag components in sinter has been reduced successfully, fulfilling the blast furnace requirements for sinter quality and quantity. As a result of Various efforts including costly investments for environmental facilities, sinter plant emissions have been reduced remarkably in recent years.
