摘要
Natural disasters, terrorist attacks and blackouts in traditional distribution system lead to power interruptions for longer durations. Intentional islanding with proper coordination and control strategy can be a feasible solution for utilizing alternate power from Distributed Energy Resources (DERs) in the above circumstances. Different DERs such as low power thermal generators, rooftop Photo Voltaic (PV) system and multiple energy supply systems integrating natural gas and hydrogen are proposed in literature for power resilience in aftermath of natural disasters. On the other hand, Low Voltage DC (LVDC) in distribution system network has raised great interests in recent years due to rapid developments in power electronic devices and converters. In this paper, real-time working of intentional islanding algorithm for power resilience during natural disasters in a prototype distribution system with DERs and smart architecture is described. The paper involves smart distribution system realized in LVDC.
