摘要
Two possible ways of H-2 production technologies were studied for starting up a global carbon-recycling energy delivery system (GCRED-system). They are based on conventional electrolysis using electric power produced by solar energy. Solar/electricity conversion methods studied include solar thermal power generation (STP) and PV technology. The installation cost, levelized electricity cost, solar/electricity conversion efficiency and specific CO2 emissions by these solar power stations were compared for feasibility of their practice. These considerations showed that the STP technology is more cost-effective and has approximately the same specific CO2 emissions level as the PV technology.
