The aim of this paper is to discuss some aspects of the Czech labor market's performance. The first part of the paper offers description of general aspects of the Czech labor market development. The second part of the paper deals with selected short-term and long-term aspects of the Czech labor market's performance. Using selected macroeconomic indicators the paper examines development of the Czech labor market during the period 1990-2012. The analysis shows that the Czech labor market has undergone many changes during the observed period, both quantitative and qualitative ones. Moreover, these changes were not accompanied by the high unemployment rate as it was in the case of Western European countries during the 70s and 80s of the 20th century.
