摘要
A list of the diversity of cacti in the arid and semi-arid zone of Durango, Mexico is presented The zone includes 16 municipalities that belong to the Region of Chihuahua Desert. Field trips were made for specimen collection and registration in each municipality. The best represented genera are Coryphantha, Opuntia, Echinocereus and Mammillaria. The globose and cylindrical growth forms are the most common ones in the region. The municipalities with highest diversity were Mapimi, Tlahualilo and Nazas, while those with the largest numbers of species at risk were PeliOn Blanco, Mapimi, Tlahualilo and Nazas.
