摘要
Optical waveguides in LiF crystals by high energy He+ ion-beam irradiation have been obtained. F-2 and F-3(+) produced color centers increase refractive index of LiF crystals, allowing the formation of waveguides, and show strong photoluminescence activity in the green-red optical band. Details of the fabrication process and preliminary characterization data are reported.
