摘要
Introduction: Sport activity contributes to improve physical conditions and to promote health. However, its importance is often overlooked. It is not always adequately treated in schools. Materials and methods: An anonymous questionnaire was administered to 500 students. Demographic data and information about sport activity were also collected. Results: A total of 450 (90% response rate) questionnaires were completed. The 90 % of the sample reported current practice of sport. Sport was considered significant by 65% of the students. The relationship between sport and health promotion is important for 55% of the students. Conclusions: Sport activity is very important for health promotion. For this reason it is decisive the role it plays in the ,for/nation of students in schools. It is an important link between health promotion and health protection.
