The development of project management (PM) practices has run in parallel with those of the quality movement. Common elements of communication, planning, empowerment and goal orientation can be found. The major elements include assess, plan, do and verify. The customer is placed in a prominent position reminding that improvement activities should always be mindful of the customer.
