摘要
The paper analyse and presents the advantages of the turn-milling process based on process forces simulation and a number of experiments. An extensive comparison with turning shows that turn-milling is much mole suitable for high-speed cutting (HSC) especially from om the machined surface quality point of view. For this purpose cutting forces simulation and measurements were carried out. Also entry-exit conditions which have a great influence on tool wear were investigated and the findings were quite different from the results, obtained in the normal milling process. At the end even the surface texture could be of great importance ii? some practical applications. The findings could be used for superior process choice and optimal parameters setting in turn-milling process.
