摘要
A 57-64GHz planar sub-harmonic mixer based on anti-parallel GaAs Schottky diodes is proposed in this paper. Planar microstrip circuit is used with flip Schottky diodes mounted on top of it, making the circuit very easy to fabricate and assemble. Co-simulation of three-dimensional electromagnetic field simulation software HFSS and circuit simulation software ADS are adopted to optimize the performance. Accurate modeling of planar Schottky diode is implemented, and then matching circuits of the mixer are designed and optimized. The simulation results show that the conversion loss of the harmonic mixer is less than 7 dB at 57-64GHz with LO power of 6.2 similar to 12.5dBm at 26GHz. The lowest conversion loss of 6.2dB is achieved with LO power of 11.2dBm.
