摘要
This paper refers to a section of a doctorate thesis aimed to examine how Veja magazine operates andenhances the device of Environmental Education in the 21st century. Here, specially, the focus of the discussions is placed in mapping strong concepts that supported the research. So, the systematization is focused on important debates about the ideas of the French philosopher Michel Foucault, which are powerful analytical tools in the field of environmental education. The objective of the study is to provoke the reader to think about the way the media has been serving as a cultural pedagogy and thus teaching the right ways of being, thinking and acting in environmental issues. We employ someof Foucault's tools of discourse analysis as our methodology and we problematize the subjectivity processesinterconnected in the fabrics of a device that is increasingly powerful and focused on the lives of individuals today.
