摘要
Since the Mianyang city is only 180 km away from the epicenter of the Wenchuan earthquake, with the seismic intensity in Mianyang is 8 to 9 degree, and the losses caused by the earthquake were extremely terrible. The frame structures, the base frame with the upper part of brick-concrete structures and brick-concrete of house had the varying destruction, especially, the brick-concrete structures, brick-wood structures and adobe houses in the rural areas surrounding the city were badly destroyed. This paper made a lot of investigations and analysis about the situations of houses in Mianyang city, and the results indicated that: (1) the damages of most frame structures were slight; they were able to keep their normal use after some simple repairing. (2) The seismic damages of the brick-concrete structures and frame-brick combine structures fabricated in the 1990's were much slighter than the ones built before 1980's, for the formers were designed and constructed according to requirements of the codes. (3) The seismic damages of the houses in urban area were much slighter than the ones in the rural areas, and lots of brick-wood structures and adobe houses in the rural areas were collapsed. (4) The seismic damages were serious for the bottom frames and the convention layers in the base frame with the upper part of brick-concrete structures.
