The types of oil and gas pools in the southern Siberian Platform

摘要：
A typification of oil and gas pools in the southern Siberian Platform is proposed. The influence of lithological, stratigraphic, and tectonic factors on morphology and genesis of traps has been studied. It is shown that anticlinal pools are predominant in the northeast of the study area, whereas nonanticlinal ones occur in the southwest. Recommendations have been devised for the optimization of exploration process.
