摘要
With the development of large-scale industry, safely and faultless operating of equipments is the first-line prerequisite to provide assured safety of both human and property. To detect faults, hidden troubles, and unexpected accidents accurately and in a timely manner, this paper presents the design of a system utilizing an embedded framework to provide continuous monitoring of the safety status of operating equipments. The designed system adopts the up-to-date Windows XP Embedded operating system to achieve this desired embedded characteristic, and further annular buffer technique is put forward to provide continuous monitoring with no sampled data loss. Through monitoring wheel hubs' operation, which works to evaluate the performance of cars, the system is demonstrated to be able to provide reliable and continuous monitoring for equipments to operate safely.
