European Court of Auditors is the European Union Institution established by the European Community Treaty to carry out the audit of European Union finances. As the European Union's external auditor, the Court's mission is to contribute to improving European Union financial management and acts as the independent guardian of the financial interests of the citizens of the Union, promoting transparency and accountability.
