摘要
The paper presents the efficiency evaluation of a wastewater treatment plant that processes industrial and municipal residues. Although the wastewater treatment plant was designed for processing a mix of three types of wastewater, resulting from textile factory, milk processing and surrounding inhabitants, at the moment the water flow and characteristics of each source differ considerably leading to a reduced global efficiency of the process. The process parameters of biological stage as well as the influent and effluent concentrations are monitored and different scenarios for sludge recycle flow are evaluated using simulation. Results have shown that the effluent COD concentration can be considerably altered, by only modifying the sludge recycle rate, leading to a reduction in energy consumption of the wastewater treatment plant's biological stage.
