Variation of parameter methods for difference equations and applications

摘要
This paper surveys the variation of parameter formulae for difference equations in one independent variable. Further, we have shown that these formulae not only lead to qualitative properties of the solutions of initial value problems, but provide an effective tool for constructing the solutions of the boundary value problems.
