A fundamental investigation on recovery of titanium from titanium-bearing blast furnace slag

摘要
Based on physical and chemical characteristics of Ti-bearing blast furnace slag, H2SO4 leaching is investigated to recover titanium from Ti-bearing blast furnace slag. It is shown that the 72.26% of TiO2 leaching can be obtained under the conditions of H2SO4 concentration of 50%, reaction temperature of 1000, reaction time of 1h, liquid to solid ratio of 10 and particle size of -0.5mm.The leaching mechanism is investigated from thermodynamics, mineral crystallization and morphology of slag.
