摘要
Access to electricity considered essential for socio-economic development for any nation. The non electrified regions of developing countries are aimed to connect using grid extensions. And Wireless power transfer (WPT) can play a major role for providing wireless distribution in these countries with lack of infrastructure. After application of mobile phones, drones in telecommunication and transport sector respectively, WPT is considered as third level leapfrogging in power sector. This paper presents the ideas and possibilities of realizing wireless homes and wireless power grid. It discusses the framework of upcoming wireless power networks and its resemblance with conventional power grid. The various functions of traditional power grid as well as wireless power grid operations are discussed. Also, possible future research trends in wireless power grid are predicted which will transform the power infrastructures around the globe.
