摘要
Dust particle size distribution and typical particles morphologies in MDF milling were studied in this paper. The surface roughness was measured. The parameter varied in the experiments was average chip thickness. The results of milling tests showed that dust particle size distribution in MDF milling mainly concentrated in the range of 0.5-450 mu m, and the particles exhibited morphology of long-narrow fibrous. With the increase of average chip thickness, the average particle size {D (4, 3), D (3, 2) land the middle diameter {D (50)} of dust increased, and the spindle speed plays more important role on them. With the increase of average chip thickness, the surface quality during MDF milling decreased, and the spindle speed plays more important role on surface quality.
