Research on the Application of Information Technology in Small and Medium-sized Enterprises

In recently, information technology becomes more and more important to enterprises and applies broadly in many companies. It is so common that large enterprises have already applied information technology maturely, but in the small and medium-sized enterprises the development of information technology is perhaps in the primary stage. This paper mainly researches how important the information technology is for the small and medium enterprises and what is status quo of the application of information technology in SMEs. The author has summarized the existing related researches on information technology and puts forward that the application of information technology in SMEs is still insufficient.
