摘要
Virtual Reality (VR) is a new human computer interface that uses the computer and related hardware to simulate a realistic 3D environment for a participant to walk through. This paper presents an implementation of Virtual Reality on the construction of University of Macau. The implementation is cross-platform and could be accessed via Internet. It allows the user to walk around within the virtual university and visit the university environment without necessity in coming to the university actually. This paper will present the techniques involved in the development of the virtual University of Macau in its modeling, LOD (Level of Detail), texturing, viewpoint setting, lighting etc.
