摘要：
The government's stated objectives are to generate 10% of energy from renewables in 2010, and move to target of 10 GW combined heat and power (CHP) capacity. They involve adding some 8000 MW of new renewable capacity together with around 5000 MW of CHP. An active network implies the distributed network operators (DNO) taking a much more positive attitude to distributed generators, using them to help control voltage, to control power flows and enhance network security.
