摘要
By using the method of literature, social investigation and expert interviews, this article systematically expounds the compositions of P.E. teacher's professional quality and its development approach. The professional quality of P.E. teacher in colleges and universities is mainly composed of three aspects which are the P.E. teacher's professional ethics, professional spirit and professional recognition and competence. The professional ethics and professional spirit are the value orientations of the teaching profession by P.E.teachers in colleges and universities and the factors constituting the professional recognition and competence include new educational concept, multi-level structure of knowledge and the necessary teaching capacity. The main factors influencing the development of P.E. teacher's professional quality are the traditional educational thought, their individual quality and the education environment. Pre-vocational education is the foundation for a further development of the professional quality of P.E. teacher while the post-vocational education is the main approach for the further development of their professional quality from the perspective of life-long education.
