In Observationsstudien wurde gezeigt, dass sich ein hoher Vitamin-D-Spiegel gunstig auf das uberleben von Patienten mit Kolonkarzinom auswirkt. In einer doppelblinden, randomisierten Studie wurde untersucht, ob sich durch eine Kombination einer Hochdosis-Vitamin-D-Gabe mit der Standardchemotherapie das Ergebnis bei Patienten mit metastasiertem Kolonkarzinom im Vergleich zur Standardgabe von Vitamin D verbessert.
