摘要
A model-independent framework to study Lepton Flavor Violating (LFV) processes is developed, which is applied on both, purely leptonic and semi-hadronic LFV interactions. By introducing effective mass scales, which parameterize the strength of the LFV interaction, scattering experiments and particle decays are compared, without making assumptions about specific LFV models beyond the SM. Prospects for LFV searches at future accelerator experiments are given and the discovery potential for a high luminosity tau and charm factory is discussed. In the second part of my talk I discuss a proposal for a high intensity e(+)e(-) linear collider operated at low center of mass energies root s < 5 GeV. Such a facility would provide high statistics samples of (charmed) vector mesons and permits LFV searches with unprecedented precision in decays of tau leptons and mesons. Implications on the design of the linear accelerator are discussed together with requirements to achieve luminosities of 10(35) cm(-2)s(-1) or more. Finally, the option to perform a fixed target experiment, eN -> mu(tau)N, using a high intensity electron beam is presented.
