摘要
The article addresses the impact of the inert gases (nitrogen N-2, carbon dioxide CO2) on parameters of the internal combustion engine. The fuel was prepared by adding one of the inert gases into natural gas. The inert gases are also present in alternative fuels - synthesis gases - produced from renewable energy sources. The paper therefore focuses on the question which of the inert gases more significantly influences motor parameters. Analysis of the integral performance parameters has shown that with an increasing proportion of inert gas mixed with natural gas there occurs a drop in torque or in performance. The specific (hourly) fuel consumption increased much more with increasing ratio of inert gas in natural gas. The impact of the inert gas was analysed also from the courses of pressure, for various mixing ratios with natural gas. With growing proportion of inert gas the values of maximum pressure and pressure rise rate of the internal combustion engine decrease.
