摘要
Introduction Endometriosis is one of the common diseases of women of reproductive age. As frequency, the average 10% in women of reproductive age, ranging between 8-33% are suffering from endometriosis. Studies (SUA-2017) states that 6.5% of women are diagnosed with endometriosis, but many of them are asymptomatic, therefore t exact determination of cases is inaccurate. Methods We used the serum CA-125 as a marker for endometriosis in our group of patients. It grows in over 80% of ovarian cancer cases. It will be appreciated the disease recurrence, increasing by more than 35 U/mL after the treatment. At the transabdominal ultrasound the cyst will look like a "watch-glass" or "snowflake". Transvaginal ultrasonography is not an appropriate screening tool for this diagnostic. Nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR), although more expensive, is more accurate in terms of lesion delineation, unlike the transabdominal or transvaginal ultrasound. They have a specificity of 95% for ovarian endometriotic cysts and 78%, for endometriosis implants. Results and Discussion Experts believe that several factors contribute to the lower fertility rates, and the stressful life, economic situation, the advanced maternal age are causes of occurrence of endometriosis. Conclusions No statistic cannot determine the exact figures, because the accurate diagnosis is given by the pathology results of the excision specimen, which most often is performed laparoscopically. Basically, there is no way to determine the exact figures, because the only way to confirm a diagnosis is by performing laparoscopic surgery.
