摘要
This work proposes a new kind of absorber working in the near-field (NF). We first demonstrate that the conventional meta-surface absorber placed in the NF of an electric dipole is not able to consume the radiation power in the forward direction, which is due to its large reflection of the evanescent waves in the NF. Further, we propose a preliminary design of a NF absorber by using a highly capacitive surface. The example shows that the NF absorber is able to interact with the evanescent waves and could consume most of the radiation power and thus suppress omnidirectional electromagnetic interference (EMI).
