摘要
This research deals with modal study of bi-direction functionally graded beam. Material characteristics are assumed to be varied continuously through bi-direction i.e. longitudinally and thickness direction according with power law gradation. The finite element modal is created using FE application software COMSOL to analyses the modal characteristics of the bi-direction functionally graded beam. The proposed study is capable of acquiring natural frequencies and mode shapes under general end conditions namely clamped (C-C), simply supported (S-S), clamped-simply supported (C-S) and clamped?free (C-F). The results are validated with the results published in literature for special cases. The effect of aspect ratios is also reported. (c) 2021 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
