摘要
This article is devoted to the implementation issue of transport functionality in the segment of freight transportation in Russia. The focus is made on the search of efficient ways of development and implementation of the railway transport system potential in the area of intersectoral freight transportation, the idea of which lies in the consolidation of information and technology systems of parties of freight flow in the current as well as future transport infrastructures. The authors of this article have developed and now propose to implement the automated system named "Electronic service of complex transport services". This system is meant to create the integral information space, in which each participant of the united transportation process in the field of intersectoral cooperation is provided with a multifaceted variety of options for effective conduct of business and optimal expenditures and investments for execution or purchasing of complex transport services. The introduction of the automated system increases data exchange between carrier companies and service receivers, with regard to shipping requests, selection of an optimal and economically viable means of transportation for specific conditions as well as providing result in the form of a commercial offer for the request in question.
