The production of an interactive multimedia tutorial A case study

fAn interactive multimedia tutorial was created with a target audience of first year degree students who have been introduced to relational database data normalisation procedures through formal lecture and require consolidation and reinforcement in the form of practice of the technique. A multimedia solution was adopted owing to the ability to directly interact with screen items to create solutions to problems and to gain feedback before moving on. This paper describes the production of the tutorial and justifies some of the design decisions made.
