New perspectives in engine applications of engineering ceramics

摘要
The most significant issues in an economical and environmental problems are the development of engines with low fuel consumption and low exhaust emissions for the human. Although the materials having high strength at high temperature above 1,100degreesC or more which is used for gas turbine engine are no needs to use on the diesel engine, the materials with other functions such as low friction, low thermal conductivity and self sensing fracture are required for the improvement of performance and fuel consumption in our ceramics engine projects. Then I would like to introduce you about the research on the new ceramics materials and a ceramics engine. On the other hand, the research we have carried out to reduce fabricating cost in Si3N4 will be described. Additionally, as the project of ceramics adiabatic engine for generating electricity are processing to the final goals, the development status will be published.
