Dynamic Response Analysis and Adaptive Fuzzy Control of a Magnet-Rheological Damper Under Impact Load

摘要
This research was developed and aimed at a magnet-rheological damper under impact load. Based on the regular laminar flow theory, an amendment dynamic model of the magnetorheological fluid in damping channel under impact load is derived. This dynamic model is composed of friction damp force, coulomb damper force, inertia damper force and throttle damper force of the annulus damp channel, the damper force of the lead part and the structure accessional damper force, which can roundly describe its dynamic characteristics for a magnet-rheological damper under impact load. Considering the shock vibration character and its strong nonlinear and uncertainty of a magnet-rheological damper, an adaptive fuzzy controller is designed to achieve a control of active variable damping. A suit of intelligent monitoring and controlling system for a magnet-rheological damper under impact load is designed and exploited. The experimental results proved this dynamic model's correctness for a magnet-rheological damper under impact load, and indicated that the designed adaptive fuzzy control strategy could reduce off 20% its displacement and pressure of MR damper, which will further establish the basis of engineering application for a magnet-rheological damper under impact load.
