Conductance and viscosity studies of some univalent electrolytes in water, dimethyl sulfoxide and water plus dimethyl sulfoxide mixtures at different temperatures

Conductance and viscosity of sonic univalent electrolytes have been measured. in water, dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO) and water + DMSO mixtures at different temperatures. The limiting molar conductance (Lambda(o)), limiting ionic conductances (lambda(1o)), Walden products (lambda(lo)eta(o)), solvated radii (r(i)), viscosity A and B coefficients and ionic B+/- values have been evaluated. These studies throw light on the effect of nature of electrolyte, solvent composition and temperature on the solvation behavior of ions in DMSO and DMSO + water mixtures.
