Study on College English Teaching in Engineering College from the Aspect of Intercultural Communication

This research tries to make up for the lack of intercultural awareness and intercultural communicative competence in engineering colleges, building corpus for the students to improve listening, oral, reading and writing abilities, in order to adapt to the internationalization and turn into internationalized talents who are compatible for both Chinese and western language and culture. In this paper, the following teaching plan will be discussed: 1) Construct "spoken and written English Corpus for college students "from the perspective of intercultural communication; 2) Innovate the teaching content and course, expanding the cultural teaching proportion; 3) create language practice platform. Its purpose is to improve students' intercultural communicative competence in order to achieve the internationalization of talents.
