摘要
For many retirees, dealing with digital technologies is a requirement for active participation in different areas of society. Older adults are inter alia motivated and supported by younger family members to use digital media. Such support allows for insights into intergenerational familial learning processes, which are largely shaped by relationship constellations and levels of competence. Drawing on the "model of family education attainment" (cf. Brake and Buchner 2003, 618 ff.) and based on 32 qualitative interviews with older adults, family support processes for media use by older adults are revealed and presented in this study. The results also outline possibilities, such as how to connect with adult education.
