摘要
The objective of the paper is to characterize the startup ecosystem in Poland. There are distinct areas which have key influence on the establishment and development of startups. The assumptions of the paper have been accomplished on the basis of the analysis of the subject literature and the existing research results and data. The strength of the startup ecosystem in Poland is a large number of students and graduates in engineering and science. The weakness areas are financing and social capital. The description of the characteristics of startup ecosystem areas is well founded for the purposes of conducting further analyses. Their result should be the ecosystem maturity model allowing for measurement of growth dynamics and relationships between entities.
